September in the Studio — Monthly Roundup
Share
September brought a mix of new paintings, work already underway, and time to think about what comes next. Eight new floral paintings joined the Borrowed Flowers collection, work continued on commissions, and we had some wonderful opportunities to share our art. Alongside it all, there was room to gather ideas, review work, and prepare for the fall and winter months ahead.

New Paintings in Borrowed Flowers
I added eight new floral paintings to the Borrowed Flowers collection this month: Gathered, Collected, Maybe, Until, Somehow, Still, Again, and Yet.
It was lovely to see this series grow alongside the commissioned work happening in the studio. If you haven’t visited the collection lately, there are eight new pieces to spend a little time with.
Two Days at Paris Landing
We participated in the two-day arts and crafts festival at Paris Landing State Park, and it was a wonderful event. Great weather, beautiful surroundings, and so many people to meet made it a lovely way to spend a September weekend.
Several landscape paintings found new homes during the festival. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, spent time looking at the paintings, or chose a piece to take home.
This was an art fair close to home, we will definitely be back next September with new work.
On the Easel
Back in the studio, work continued on commissioned paintings.
Alongside the new florals and ongoing commissions, September also became a season of gathering ideas, reviewing work, and preparing for the fall and winter months ahead.
Art Around the Area
New artwork of ours is now on display in the Spires Gallery at the DAC in downtown Clarksville. It’s always a pleasure to see paintings leave the studio and become part of a different space. If you’re downtown, I hope you’ll have a chance to stop in and enjoy the artwork. The gallery is located on Franklin Street.
A Farewell to Sunflower Season
We also held a final seasonal sale on the Sunflower Series, marking the close of that chapter as we turned toward fall. Thank you to everyone who spent time with the series and supported the work along the way. There are a few left, available at the sale price through the end of October.
Looking Ahead to October
In October, our work will appear in the 2026 Juried Art Show at the Janice Mason Museum of Art in Cadiz, Kentucky. I’m looking forward to sharing work in that setting and seeing the exhibition come together.
For now, I’m carrying September’s conversations, beautiful surroundings, and fresh ideas from the studio into the next season of painting.
Thanks for following along.
