June in the Studio — Monthly Roundup
Share
June was a CRAZY BUSY month in the studio — new paintings, new collectors, my first art events, and the Borrowed Flowers Collection taking shape. Here's a look at what happened.
🎨 Paintings Finished
June brought a wave of new work, including some of my favorite pieces to date:
- Flower Child — Large, loose, wildflower energy in bold acrylic. One of my favorites.
- Once — A portrait of a retired racehorse on antique ledger paper. Mixed media and full of feeling.
- Yesterday & Tomorrow — Sister paintings from the Borrowed Flowers Series. Red blooms, golden wheat, deep navy vases.
- Almost & Already — Another sister pair from Borrowed Flowers. One mid-unfurl, one fully open — deep rose, coral, crimson, and hot pink against aqua.
- Always & Forever — The newest Borrowed Flowers pair. White blooms with golden centers in a deep plum vase.
🌸 New Collection: Borrowed Flowers
June marked the real launch of the Borrowed Flowers Collection — a collection of original acrylic floral paintings exploring the beauty and transience of flowers. Six new paintings were added this month, all in sister pairs. Each pair tells a quiet story together.
🛍️ Works Sold
Sold- Wow, what a month. From our butterflies to our little landscapes and studio florals, we found homes for over a dozen paintings in June. So many new collectors....this month has inspired me to paint like a madwoman in July. Can't wait to show you the new work.
📅 Markets Attended
June was a first for me! We participated in our first IN PERSON Art Event as an artist. First, we displayed our work in Downtown Clarksville as part of their monthly ArtWalk Series. Shout out to our venue, Tattoo Technique, for being such kind hosts for our work.
Also, I participated in my first art fair at Mudslingers Art Market in Huntingdon, Tennessee. So much fun, and the art community really came out to support small businesses....even though the rain was trying to dampen our day.
📸 Favorite Moments

☀️ Me Time!
Yes, I managed to take advantage of all the sunshine with my husband and doggies. We hopped on the boat to enjoy the Tennessee River as much as possible.
I also squeezed in some time with two of my grandkids.
