Born — Specimen No. 4 — is an original acrylic painting from the Wild Meadow Butterfly Series.

Burnt amber and golden yellow fill the wings in warm, radiating strokes, edged in deep teal and traced with a vivid electric blue outline that makes the whole piece hum. Pink and crimson eye spots with dark centers punctuate each wing, while the lower edges deepen into rich teal and shadow. Earthy and luminous — like something just emerging into the light.

Artist Note: Born felt like the heart of the series. Warm, open, unguarded. Some paintings arrive fully formed. This was one of them. —Teri
