Artist Note: Confession: this was created on entirely upcycled materials. I found a printed panel from a big box store on clearance, and decided I liked the surface. A few layers of gesso, collage, paint and more...and this bold figure came out. It was inspired by the quote: "Do not set yourself on fire to keep others warm."  – Teri
