Emperor — Specimen No. 11 — is an original acrylic painting from the Wild Meadow Butterfly Series.

Deep green and near-black wings radiate outward in bold, layered strokes, shot through with vivid warm colors at the center. Teal eye spots ringed in lavender and white punctuate each wing tip, glowing against the dark edges like something lit from within. The creamy textured background grounds it all — regal, wild, and impossible to look away from.

Artist Note: This one was one of my favorites to create. I love the contrast of the greens and the orangey-pinky-reds. - Teri
