Warm gold and chartreuse sweep across wide, open wings in the classic swallowtail form. Deep forest green and black edge the tips, while square-shaped eye spots in dusty rose and periwinkle blue dot the lower wings. Light, airy, and sun-drenched — the most open and expansive piece in the series.

Artist Note: Fable felt like a creation I already knew. Something familiar in the shape of it, the way the painting came together so easily. —Teri
