Weather - 40 x 40

Weather is a large-scale original painting inspired by long summer days spent in the Tennessee River and Kentucky Lake, where changing skies can transform the water in an instant. Choppy water, gathering weather, and fleeting peeks of sunset breaking through became the starting point for this piece.

Built with expressive layers of acrylic and mixed media, Weather is deeply textured. The raised surface catches the light as you move past it, echoing the restless water and the shifting clouds that inspired it. 

Artist Note: This day we got caught in the rain...like many others. It was a rough ride to get back to the dock, but we were greeted with the sunset upon our return.  - Teri
